Who we can and Can't help

This is just a quickie really due to a conversation earlier. People who are good - whether they are psychic, mediumistic or just plain old generous of heart, mind, body and soul - will always want to help others. They will always want to see justice served or a happy ending.

There are many nights I lose sleep fretting over something disturbing I have read or seen on the news or from elsewhere. I cannot get certain thoughts and visions out of my head no matter how much I try. I have spent many a night crying to myself in bed over something that seems incredibly cruel or unjust.

These tears are not going to change anything though. Sadly, we are not able to change everything in life that isn't pleasant or just. So many of us wish this were not the case and try our hardest to help where we are able. That is good and we should continue to try and help at all times where possible and reasonable. Sometimes though, it is not God's will that help is given in the way that we wish. One thing I do believe is that help is always given when asked for. Maybe not the way we wish it to be but it is always given. We do not know the whole picture and cannot, therefore, know what the end result will be. No matter how cruel the lesson is that we're learning and going through we have to believe that God, in His infinite wisdom, knows what He is doing.

It is a sad fact of life that it isn't the good times that teach us what we know and make us who we are but the bad times. The bad times and experiences are what moulds us and either makes us stronger, better people who will, in future, extend help and compassion to others or make us bitter, sad and twisted. Or even people who think the whole world hates them and has let them down. That doesn't mean you can't be sad or angry at times just try and get through it as best we can in the way that best suits us. This is when faith and trust gives one hope for the future. This is when we see what we are truly made of. I do speak from experience although that will remain private to me. From age 16 things have been pretty horrific at times and I am now 54. One thing I have never lost is my faith and hope and a belief that all will be right in the end.

Justice is mine says the Lord - and I believe Him. I have to. Without that belief what is there? One thing I can say truthfully is - I have never questioned "why me?"
More to the point - why NOT me. Why someone else? By asking "why me" you are actually wishing it on someone else. No matter what the day brings I always end the day with a prayer of thanks. Easier said than done sometimes. But who said life was easy?

I hope all of you have someone or something greater than us and the here and now that you believe in. For me it is God. Whatever your belief system is, I hope it brings you the same hope and trust. God Bless.

Are we all psychic?

Good morning one and all,

I said I would explain about psychometry, but this will follow later. The reason for this is because of the questions raised about awakening psychic ability and awareness. Is everyone psychic? Yes, I believe you can be. Everyone can be a psychic but not everyone can be a medium. They are two very different things. Many people will disagree with this and they are the ones who I steer clear of.

Spiritualists will say anyone can develop mediumship. Not to do it credibly they can't and I have seen the proof of the ones with no natural ability who have forced this. It is horrid. They work with very low energies and can produce awful results. It should not be done. It is compromising the standards of mediumship and the credibility of those with a genuine, natural gift. A certificate saying you are trained is, in my eyes, rubbish. A certificate does not make you a medium or a healer. God is the only one who can do that. Jesus was the greatest medium and healer of all time and He never had a certificate to His name.

The reason all can APPEAR to be developing mediumistically (in my mind) is because bad spirits are at work. Now that sounds very dramatic and I don't mean it to be. Let me explain. A fact of life is that everything has its opposite. Black/white, cold/hot, positive energy/negative energy. So surely it follows that where there are good spirits there must be bad ones mischievous ones also. We have God and we have Satan.

When people are alive they all have their own personality. Some are good people others are bad people and many are in between. If, when we die we are able to come back, then surely it stands to reason that that personality would still be there. It is because of that personality and character trait that we mediums are able to let you know that the person we speak of really is who you think it is. If I said that Joe Bloggs was with me and he was kind, generous and very loving you would laugh your socks off if he was the total opposite wouldn't you?

So you see, there are different types and personalities in the world of spirit just as there are here. That being the case then don't you think that may be so with those spirits who are sent to misguide us? I trust in God and it is stated that there would be many false prophets would would try to deceive us and mislead us. I truly believe that which is why I have struggled hard with these so called gifts.

What made me realise that maybe I could use them is something a priest said to me when I talked of it to him. He told me that although the devil comes in many guises, the one thing he cannot do is be good. He can only do that which is wrong. So if the eventual outcome is good and helps people then it must be of God. That helped me enormously. That is also why it pays to sit back and not rush in. Test the spirits to see if they be of God. If anyone reading this doesn't like that then you are reading the wrong blog. This is not for you and I shall not be offended if you go elsewhere. I, in turn, hope not to offend you as they are but my personal beliefs.

What I have said about Spiritualists and Spiritualist churches by no means reflects all of them. I know many people who are Spiritualists and are very gifted natural mediums and very kind, good people. What I am against is the fact that the churches' will accept ANYONE and say they will develop their gifts. I know one man, for example, who at present is suffering from very bad depression and mental health problems. He is a lovely man but should most definitely not be trying to do anything within this field at all. It could really tip him over the edge and yet the church has accepted him into an awareness group willingly.

There are cases where people have gone quite strange when getting too deeply into this sort of thing. It does not suit everyone no matter what others say. Please be very careful where you go and who you listen to if you wish to get involved in all of this. Truly genuine, natural mediums will not fleece you dry and try to make money out of you. They will never charge big amounts of money for healing or readings. A modest charge for expenses is acceptable, but when you start talking £40 and upwards it is nonsense. No need for that.

Now, psychic ability is reading the energy of a person or object. Everything in life has its own energy field and when attuned to it, is is possible to sense this. I liken psychic ability to a sixth sense. In times gone past everyone had that ability and used it daily. Life was so much harder and man had to hunt for food and was hunted. Instinct was what he lived by. That and his sixth sense.

No doubt every one of you reading this will, at some time, have felt as though someone was staring at you and on turning around found this was so. Or you think of someone you haven't seen for a long time and suddenly you see them or they telephone you. Other times you are about to do something or go somewhere and a nagging feeling that won't go away tells you not to. This is all your sixth sense or psychic awareness. Call it what you will it is one and the same thing. This is what you can work on to develop a stronger awareness and there are simple exercises I will tell you about later to make this happen.

Many of you will achieve this quite easily, some will find it takes longer and more practice and others again may find it doesn't happen at all. The last of these does not mean you are incapable, it just means that this is probably not the right time for you.

A psychic is someone who feels the energy field of a person or object, but a medium is something totally different. It is said that a medium can speak with the dead. Now I am a medium and yet I don't know what I think of that. What I do know, is that when I am getting information mediumistically I can feel what appears to be a presence next to me and a coldness. Not at all frightening but just an awareness. When this happens I get information and pictures and feelings that I then relate to who I'm reading for. Names can be given and all manner of things that only they would know about. How does that happen? I have no idea.

Now, there are so many who would say that is evidence and proof that the dead have come to speak with us, but is it? I know what I feel and that I am getting information from somewhere, but how is that definite proof? All it proves is that something or someone is at work. I know I can feel a presence, but what is that presence? There are mysteries of life (and death) that are not for us to mess with or know the answers to and I believe this is one of them.

That said, I think that there probably IS someone next to me but I cannot state for certain that this is so. No one can. I believe in God as you have probably realised by now and I believe in Angels. I am a Christian and all I do in mediumship goes against what we, as Catholics, are told is acceptable. This upsets me greatly and I have struggled with accepting and using these gifts for many years due to this fact. Each time I have tried to ignore them something much stronger happens that I cannot ignore and eventually I have come to realise that maybe this is what I should be doing. I have now been told by a priest that he believes my gift of healing truly is a gift from God and that he has no problem with me using it.

Well, I have given you enough to read about today, but hope it opens you up to who I am and what I'm about a little more. I shall update with more tomorrow but I do feel that instead of jumping around from one thing to another, it is best to follow a smooth path. This way the information will flow a little better and will follow on in a more comprehensive way. If you have a question that you would like me to try and answer quicker though, please do e-mail me and I'll see if I can answer it for you,

Thanks once again for reading my blog.

Lorraine.
